About Competition

A prestigious national-level championship for Abacus & Vedic Math students

🎓 The Brains Academy's Abacus & Vedic Math National Championship is an Offline event that will host the competition along with Prize Distribution Ceremony. This prestigious championship provides a platform for students to showcase their calculation skills at the national level.

✨ Objectives

  • Provide every student with an opportunity to compete at the National Level
  • Promote and encourage the learning of Abacus, Mental Arithmetic and Vedic Math
  • Elevate the performance standards of learners in Abacus, Mental Arithmetic and Vedic Math
  • Foster a stronger relationship between Tutors and Students
  • Certify each participant's capability in Abacus, Mental Arithmetic and Vedic Math

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to all Brains Academy students undergoing training in any Brains Academy Abacus Unit Franchisee Centre in India
  • Student must be registered for current or last completed level (not lower level)
  • Age Limit: Minimum 5 Years to 13 years for Abacus
  • Age calculated as "2025 MINUS Year of birth"
  • No student permitted to appear for level lower than defined rule

Exam Format

Abacus Exam

  • Total Marks: 100 marks
  • 50 sums using Abacus - Time Limit: 5 min (1 mark each)
  • 50 sums by mental math - Time Limit: 5 min (1 mark each)
  • Operations: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division

Foundation Level

  • 50 sums by Abacus (2 marks each) - Time Limit: 10 min

Vedic Math Exam

  • 50 sums (2 marks each) - Time limit: 20 min

  • All Participants: Participation Certificates, Medals, and Tokens of Appreciation (handed over to Franchise at later time)
  • Prize Distribution Ceremony: Same day, second half, approximately 3:00 PM

General Rules

Important guidelines for participants

  • All incomplete or incorrect applications may be rejected
  • Applications received after deadline will not be accepted
  • Attire: Brains Academy T-shirt for Abacus kids, White T-shirt for Vedic Math kids
  • Students must bring their own Abacus instrument
  • All students must carry their own writing stationery
  • Students must report at designated time on competition day
  • Paper starts sharp at 10:30 AM. Late arrivals not allowed
  • Parents must drop children at gate by 10:00 AM sharp and pick up by 12:00 PM
  • All travel expenses to be borne by parents
  • The Franchisee/Trainer should accompany the child

Practice Papers & Sessions

Prepare effectively with practice materials and online sessions

  • Three practice sheets along with answer keys provided for each participating level at every center
  • Parents may request photocopies from respective center after 1/12/25
  • Unlimited online Abacus practice sessions available (after 5/12/25) as per competition format
  • Practice sessions include time-limit feature to enhance speed and accuracy
